Israel’s strikes in Lebanon since late September have killed at least 1,400 people, including civilians, medics and Hezbollah fighters, and 1.2 million have been driven from their homes. “There’s been strong support for the nation of Israel and what’s gone on post-Oct. 7,” he said. “I thought it was important to make it clear that many stand with Israel as well.”Hamza Abu-Hamdeh, president of the Young Palestinians of Birmingham, said Marshall’s focus should be on Alabama, not the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
