Wonder was in the city this week for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s 34th National Equal Justice Awards Dinner at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Reports indicate that legendary star Rita Moreno sang Wonder’s rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
At the dinner Wonder spoke about several issues happening in the nation. He took the stage for a performance with singer John Legend. “A woman’s right to control her body, the right to vote and our precious civil liberties are under assault,” Wonder said. “Did you know that? Do you all know that? Without question. America is at a time of crisis, please hear me loud and clear. We must continue to stand together.”Related
