Adult-film actress Stormy Daniels squared off with her former lawyer Michael Avenatti in federal court Thursday, accusing him of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars as he sought to undermine her credibility by referencing her paranormal beliefs

Mr. Avenatti told a Manhattan federal jury that Ms. Daniels claimed to have a photographic memory, X-ray vision and the ability to speak to dead people. She also talks to a haunted doll named Susan on a paranormal project she founded called Spooky Babes, he said.
