Spock and Nurse Chapel's 'Will they or won't they?' question is answered by Strange New Worlds season 2, but what about T'Pring?
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 appears to take Lt. Spock and Nurse Christine Chapel's mutual attraction to the next level, but what does that mean for Spock's fiancée, T'Pring ? Strange New Worlds season 1 fused two Spock romance stories from Star Trek: The Original Series: the revelation that Spock was betrothed to T'Pring on Vulcan and the unrequited love Nurse Chapel felt for the Starship Enterprise's Science Officer.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Delving into Spock and T'Pring's relationship, and then inserting Nurse Chapel to create a love triangle, was one of Strange New Worlds season 1's savviest moves, and it added a palpable electric romantic tension that was very successful. There is obviously smoldering chemistry between Spock and T'Pring, but the same can be said for Spock and Chapel.
With T'Pring back on Vulcan or at the Ankeshtan K'Til Vulcan Criminal Rehabilitation Center, where she oversees a mysterious prisoner named Xaverius, who is secretly Spock's renegade half-brother Sybok, Chapel and Spock have leeway to pursue their relationship on the Enterprise.
What Happens To Spock & T’Pring In Strange New Worlds Season 2? Strange New Worlds season 2 is likely going to lay the foundation for why Spock and T'Pring's relationship is doomed. Spock's devotion to exploring strange new worlds aboard Captain Pike's Enterprise rather than being on Vulcan with T'Pring is an issue she already raised but was willing to tolerate in season 1.
According to Star Trek: The Original Series' canon, Spock and T'Pring's relationship is doomed, and Nurse Chapel carries a torch for Spock for years. But there is a considerable amount of time between Strange New Worlds and TOS, and the prequel series has already shown it will shuffle canon around in service of its story. Spock and Nurse Chapel clearly clicked in Strange New Worlds season 1, and so did Spock and T'Pring.
