Craig had five points, five rebounds, three blocks, four assists and a steal in the Phoenix Suns' Saturday win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
This was supposed to be Johnson's big year coming off his Sixth Man of the Year finalist nomination last season. He’s in a contract year, but he didn't get a rookie scale extension as expected by Oct. 17, and got the starting power forward role to replace Jae Crowder.
But in the second game of the Suns' back-to-back home matchups against the Trail Blazers, Craig helped hold the power forward to just 14 points , including six in first half on Saturday. Craig was the common denominator for the Suns between 9:45 and 6:16 in the opening period when the Suns and Blazers traded leads.
