“I was throwing up,” Rice said. “They practiced at the same intensity as it is now. And that was in OTAs in April.Rice got off to a slow start, averaging just 34.6 yards receiving in the first five games. But then it clicked. The rookie doubled his average output over the final 11 games.“Everything on the front end paid off on the back end for us," Rice said of how the team practices.Rice was born in 2000. That was 37 years after the Chiefs moved to Kansas City.
