As a teenager, Coleman preached at Christian revivals, thus adopting the name Billy Graham after the televangelist once he got into the wrestling business in 1970. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Coleman was a ground-breaking figure as one of the first professional wrestlers with a bodybuilding physique. He called his biceps his"22-inch pythons" and referred to people as"brother," language that later was adopted by Hulk Hogan at the height of his popularity in the 1980s.
