The U.S. Supreme Court still has not said whether it will consider a lawsuit challenging a Mississippi provision that places a lifetime voting ban on people with some felony convictions.

by Bobby Harrison, Mississippi Today June 30, 2023 The U.S. Supreme Court, more than six months after receiving the case, still has not announced whether it will consider a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a Mississippi provision that places a lifetime voting ban on many people with felony convictions. The nine-member court has set the Mississippi case for conference, where the justices decide whether to hear a case, 17 times this year.
