SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – Authorities on Monday announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Eureka man in connection with an armed robbery at a South San Francisco convenience store.

The robbery was reported around 10:30 a.m. on July 12 in the 1100 block of Mission Road, South San Francisco police Sgt. Amy Sariotti said in a news release. The suspect reportedly brandished a knife at a clerk before leaving the store with stolen items. Officers obtained video surveillance footage and identified the suspect from prior contacts, Sariotti said.

On Saturday, officers searched for the suspect in parts of the city he was known to frequent and found him in the area of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Southgate Avenue, Sariotti said.
