Michael Childress, 29, of Toledo, is being held in the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona in connection with the fatal shooting of Kenneth Norris in Mansfield.
PHOENIX, Arizona — Federal authorities in Arizona arrested a suspect Tuesday accused of fatally shooting a man during an argument outside a convenience store earlier this month in Mansfield, Ohio.
Police say the shooting occurred on May 1 outside the Moto-Mart in Mansfield just before 3 a.m. Childress is accused of approaching Kenneth Norris, 31, and an unidentified female, then slapping the female in the face. Childress then pistol-whipped Norris, knocking him to the ground, then shot Norris in the head, police say.
Police say Childress also is a suspect in another shooting that occurred weeks earlier in which a person also was wounded in the head.
