BOTHELL, Wash. — A suspected catalytic converter thief is off the streets in Bothell after a police officer spotted a man believed to be connected to a string recent of thefts.
Officer Thorvilson said he spotted a car and a man wanted in connection with catalytic converter thefts in Bothell and at least one other city. “I just recognized it as a vehicle that was associated to one of my catalytic converter thefts,” said Thorvilson. He said the car was the same model that he was looking for, had the same license plates, and the man in the car had the same tattoos on his arms that fit the description of the suspect.“He had all the tools that were needed to do a catalytic converter theft,” said Thorvilson.The man was booked into the King County Jail and will likely face more charges stemming from other police departments.
