New behind-the-scenes images show SweetTooth star Christian Convery in the middle of a fun training workout ahead of Season 2.
Actor Christian Convery has revealed a behind-the-scenes look at his training for Sweet Tooth season 2. The post-apocalyptic fantasy series, based on the Jeff Lemire comics, premiered on Netflix in June of 2021 and explored a world in which a viral pandemic resulted in the collapse of society and the scarcity of its population, leading to mysterious hybrids being born.
In addition to its young star, the cast of Sweet Tooth includes Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, and James Brolin. A majority of season 1 focused on Gus, his journey to get to Colorado to find his mother, and his growing relationship with Big Man , formerly a part of the Last Men army tasked with hunting hybrids. It also featured a number of subplots surrounding Dr.
Convery's commitment to training may gives fans an idea of what to expect from Sweet Tooth season 2. The first installment of the series didn't prove to be quite so physically demanding for young Gus, but this intense training seems to suggest that season 2 will work out otherwise.
It is interesting to explore all of the behind-the-scenes processes that go into a character as young as Gus, but Convery certainly seems to enjoy them. Sweet Tooth season 1 managed to be simultaneously enchanting and despairing, and its finale sparked a sense of hope for Gus' future. If Sweet Tooth season 2 picks up with Gus and Tommy separated, perhaps the young hybrid doing some fighting of his own will be something audiences can look forward to. .
