TACOMA, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation is warning drivers who use the State Route 16 Tacoma Narrows Bridge to expect delays this weekend.
The westbound lanes of the bridge will be reduced to two lanes from 7 a.m. Saturday through 5 p.m. Sunday as crews pour concrete. WSDOT will be “making temporary repairs permanent,”Expect backups & double lane closures on the westbound SR 16 Tacoma Narrows Bridge. We're making temporary repairs permanent. The 1950 bridge will be reduced to 2 lanes from 7am Sat - 5pm Sun. There may be times when drivers do not see any work activity while concrete is curing.
