After an animated lyric video and a live performance clip, Taylor Swift is now releasing the official music video for 'The Man'.
In her speech, Swift said:"And I see that fire in the newer faces in our music industry whose work I absolutely love. I see it in Lizzo, Rosalia, Tayla Parx, Hayley Kiyoko, King Princess, Camila Cabello, Halsey, Megan Thee Stallion, Princess Nokia, Nina Nesbitt, Sigrid, Normani, H.E.R., Maggie Rogers, Becky G, Dua Lipa, Ella Mai, Billie Eilish. And so many other amazing women who are making music right now.
Swift is known for hiding clues about her upcoming songs and albums in videos and visuals, such as when she hid the name of herTwitter users have also noted that there are eight columns and eight beams in the poster, which could reflect that"The Man" will be featured on Swift's eighth studio album. Additionally, Swifties spotted that the release date, adds up to Swift's lucky number, as two plus two plus seven plus two plus zero is 13.
In the chorus of"The Man," Swift sings:"I'm so sick of running as fast as I can/Wondering if I'd get there quicker if I was a man/And I'm so sick of them coming at me again/'Cause if I was a man, then I'd be the man." Swift released an animated lyric video for"The Man" on February 7, which featured a woman running around surrounded by men. The video sees the woman running upstairs, climbing ladders and being kicked off a building, before being caught by a woman and joining a crowd of women walking towards a city.The official music video for"The Man" will go live onat 7 a.m. EST on February 27 and Taylor Swift will be answering fan questions on YouTube at 6 a.m EST.
