Police say a teenager was driving under the influence when he crossed lanes and struck a vehicle carrying four people, all around the age of 80.
A Reading teenager driving under the influence sent four elderly people into the hospital when he crashed his car into theirs’ Jan. 22, according to state police in Lancaster County.
The 18-year-old was driving north on Brenneman Road in Strasburg Township when his car drifted into the southbound lane, colliding with the other vehicle,First responders transported the man, as well as a 79-year-old, 81-year-old, 82-year-old and an 84-year-old, to the Lancaster General Hospital. Police believe the 18-year-old was on drugs at the time of the incident, and have since arrested him.
