The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for parts of Brazos Valley and Piney Woods, including College Station and Huntsville.Counties north of Conroe are expected to see sub-freezing temperatures overnight, with a freeze warning in effect from midnight to 8 a.m. Sunday for parts of the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures as low as 28 degrees are expected across a region that extends from Brenham to College Station to Huntsville to Onalaska. Areas south of Interstate 10 will see lows in the mid 30s to upper 40s, while areas north of I-10 will see lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s, the weather service said.
Residents in the warning area should protect sensitive outdoor vegetation, exposed pipes and law sprinklers.
