For the second time this week, detectives in Tennessee have charged a man twice deported from the U.S. with murder.
According to Metro Police, this time, Kevin Castro-Garcia, 31, was charged with the murder of a 26-year-old South Nashville man who was reported missing by his mother earlier this month.
During the missing person investigation, detectives learned that Rivas-Noriega frequented a residence on Fanning Drive in Antioch. Detectives went there and found the Ford Focus parked behind an abandoned trailer. Decomposing human remains were found in the car’s trunk. Police say autopsy results identified the remains as those of Rivas-Noriega.
Castro-Garcia is alleged to have shot Rivas-Noriega inside the residence on Fanning Drive. He is charged with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse.
