Texans draft pick Will Anderson Jr., already favorite to win rookie of the year
on who's going to be named the 2023 offensive and defensive rookies of the year, and both Texans are ranked highly, which is to be expected from the Nos. 2 and 3 picks in the draft.
The Texans' Will Anderson is the betting favorite to win the award on the defensive side of the ball with the Alabama pass rusher listed at 3-to-1. Next in line is defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who went No. 9 to the Eagles, at 4-to-1, followed by edge rusher Tyree Wilson, who was picked by the Raiders at No. 7, at 7-to-1, and cornerback Devon Witherspoon, who went No. 5 to the Seahawks, at 8-to-1.
Texans' quarterback C.J. Stroud has longer odds to win the offensive award, listed at 15-to-2 at BetOnline. The favorite on the offensive side of the ball is former University of Texas star Bijan Robinson, who the Falcons drafted eighth. He's listed at 3-to-1, ahead of the Panthers' No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young at 9-to-2. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, who went two slots behind Stroud, also is 15-to-2.
