Texans promote several scouts, name new assistant special teams coordinator
Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio watches players warm up before an NFL football game Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, in Houston. – The Texans promoted James Liipfert to executive director of player personnel from assistant director of personnel/director of college scouting.They officially named former Minnesota Vikings scout Chris Blanco as assistant director of player personnel. This is his second stint with the Texans where he was a pro scout.
Initially hired by New England as a scouting assistant in 2009, Liipfert was an area scout for the Patriots for five years.
