NEW YORK — A massive ice storm is freezing Texas and the southern United States on Wednesday.
Some 60 million people in 22 states -- from New Mexico to Maine -- are on alert for dangerously cold weather, ice and flooding.
Some areas have already accumulated more than a half an inch of freezing rain, as well as 1 to 2 inches of sleet. Freezing rain and sleet will continue from Texas to Tennessee, before slowly transitioning into just rain as temperatures warm up late Wednesday into Thursday.

200 people evacuated as fire engulfs migrant camp in SpainNIJAR, Spain (AP) — Some 200 people were evacuated Monday from a camp housing hundreds of migrant workers in Spain after a fire engulfed the site.
