Thanksgiving Day in the Bronx saw two separate shootings that left a pair of men dead, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the first homicide happened in Charlotte Gardens at about 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, at an apartment building located at 1710 Hoe Ave., in responding to a 911 call for a man in need of assistance, found Michael Roberts, 33, unconscious and unresponsive at the location with a bullet wound to his torso.EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Roughly 10 hours later, authorities said, police responded to a second deadly shooting in the area of Bronxwood Avenue and East 233rd Street in Wakefield.responded to a 911 call about shots fired and found Elijah Dukuray, 23, of East 143rd Street with a gunshot wound to his neck.So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigations in both cases, police said.
