Osha (Amandla Stenberg) threatening Qimir with a lightsaber at his neck in The Acolyte season 1 episode 6
Summary Now that The Acolyte episode 7 has been released, viewers have been left with more questions than answers. Being another flashback episode, "Choice" clears up a few questions surrounding Osha and Mae Aniseya's childhood on the planet Brendok and the Jedi's involvement in taking Osha away.
If she was so willing to turn herself in to the Jedi for her sister an episode ago, why would she knock Osha out and switch places with her after a single fight? The two of them have not seen each other in years, and it is clear now that Osha has been manipulated. Whether or not Mae now actually plans on killing Sol, even after fleeing from her master and refusing to kill Kelnacca, remains to be seen.
The real question is whether Osha will really fall to the dark side or not. It seems that the further she goes, the closer to falling she becomes, with Mae growing closer to the light side of the Force as the series goes on - keeping the two of them in balance with one another. With the cliffhanger of Osha putting on The Stranger's helmet, it seems likely she will struggle even more with this pull to the dark side in the final episode.
1 7 Are Osha And Mae Really Two Halves Of The Same Person? The Two Of Them Have The Same Force Symbionts Close After taking the twins' blood and testing for their midi-chlorian counts, Padawan Torbin reveals that not only do Osha and Mae have incredibly high M-counts, but they also share the same symbiont. Essentially, a symbiont is a unique signature in the Force.
5 What Actually Caused The Brendok Witches To Die? What Really Happened Is Still Unclear Close With the series showing that the witches of Brendok didn't actually die in the fire that Mae started, things have become much more complicated. When using the Force to control Kelnacca's mind and turn him against Sol and Torbin, the group of witches are eventually pushed out by another Force technique used by Master Indara. When this happens, all of them drop to the ground.
Whether or not Vernestra does discover the truth of what has happened, what she actually relays back to the Jedi is another thing entirely. She has already proven that she is willing to lie to the Jedi. One thing is for certain: the Jedi can never know that there was a Sith involved if The Stranger really does turn out to be a Sith Lord.
