James Cameron’s Titanic counted on the presence of an actor who also appeared in another movie based on the sinking of the Titanic. The tragedy of the RMS Titanic has been the subject of various movies, documentaries, books, and more, and perhaps the most famous and successful retelling of it is James Cameron’s 1997 movie, Titanic.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Titanic tells the story of Jack Dawson , a third-class passenger, and Rose DeWitt Bukater , a first-class passenger, who fell in love onboard the title ship. Jack and Rose defended their romance from those who looked down on them, and they also did their best to stay safe during and after the ship sank, but unfortunately, Jack became one of the many victims of the Titanic’s tragedy.
Almost four decades later, Bernard Fox returned to the Titanic, now under James Cameron’s direction and playing Colonel Archibald Gracie IV. Fox’s character isn’t featured prominently, but he did have a couple of memorable scenes, starting with the scene after Jack saved Rose, in which Gracie told Cal that “women and machinery don’t mix” and congratulated Jack for his heroic act.
