According to the Federal Way Police Department , officers were called to the transit center just before 9 p.m. after a man refused to get off a bus. Callers reported to 911 dispatchers that the man, a 54-year-old from Soap Lake, appeared to be under the influence and possibly suffering from a mental health crisis.
The man was shot and responding officers gave him first aid until medics arrived, before being pronounced dead at the scene.A total of nine officers were involved in the shooting, and they are now on administrative leave, which is standard protocol.Woman killed in Federal Way shootingAt 11:22 p.m., officers were called to reports of gunshots near the 4600 block of SW 320th St.
Officers believe the shooting happened in the 32100 block of 46th Place SW. Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting or identified any suspects.
