The Hurry-Up: Tight end Tayvion Galloway is ready to learn from Ohio State coaches at next week’s recruiting camp and five-star cornerback Javien Toviano puts OSU in his top eight.
Toviano, the 25th-ranked prospect nationally in the 2023 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings, was offered by Ohio State on Oct. 25. He has not visited Columbus since receiving the offer. While the Buckeyes would like to pair two more cornerbacks in the 2023 class with commit, Toviano is seen as a long shot to end up in Columbus, even if he thinks highly of Tim Walton and Perry Eliano.
“Ohio State’s production rate is unbelievable from the cornerback standpoint as well as the defensive back in general,” Toviano. “When you think about DBU, Ohio State is a school that instantly comes up in the conversation. With the new hires Tim Walton and Perry Eliano, I think that the room can only get better. They also happen to be in the greatest position to compete year in and year out.
