There, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers building and parking garage are taking shape. Mayor Sandy Stimpson says the corps building should be finished by the end of the year, and the parking deck will be done by next April.. Mayor Stimpson says construction on the 5-story parking deck fell behind schedule early on, but now the project is back on track.
Meanwhile, Stimpson says the Corps of Engineers building will be finished by the end of the year, but the Corps won’t move in until the end of March. The Corps will use the parking spots, but there will also be spaces allotted to the public.
