The Movie Emperor is a Chinese satirical drama film that takes aim at the film industry and stars Andy Lau as a movie star seeking to redefine his image as he begins to feel threatened by the rise of younger stars. To help his current situation, Lau Wai-Chi takes on the role of a humble pig farmer in an indie film that the director believes will be the role he needs to emerge on top - but the pitfalls of this venture will lead him to rediscover who he is and provide a deeper look into the hearts of creatives.
