Senate Republicans are ramping up their investigation into Biden and Ukraine—unless Mitt Romney stands in their way

, Burr reportedly “expressed concerns” to Johnson and Grassley in December about the investigation, saying it “could aid Russian efforts to sow chaos and distrust in the U.S. political system.”that their investigation into the potential Democratic nominee during the Democratic primary season is somehow not at all political or tied to the 2020 election.

What still remains to be seen, of course, is how Biden will fight back. The candidate has already hit back against Trump’s attacks on his son and the Senate investigation, with his campaign saying in a statement that Johnson “just accidentally did us an enormous favor by explicitly admitting that he is abusing congressional authority in a manner that would make the founding fathers spin in their graves.
