We chat with TheWheelofTime star Zoë Robins, who discusses her character Nyneave al’Meara’s continued journey in season 2 of the primevideo series:
Summary The Wheel of Time continues to turn, with season 2 on the way to Prime Video. Robert Jordan’s 14-volume fantasy epic has been brought to the screen by showrunner Rafe Judkins and a fantastic cast that includes returning faces Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, and Marcus Rutherford as Perrin. New actors include Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand and Donal Finn as Mat Cauthon .
Zoë Robins: There's a lot, definitely. Obviously, there's a lot of character growth in episode three, but I think season-wide it's been really cool to work with Nyneave’s acceptance of herself, her powers, and the gifts that she has been given that she did not ask for. I think Nyneave’s journey is a constant one of learning to surrender and letting go of the past. I think season two really dives deeper into that, and that's been really fun to play with.
It’s got to be so hard. What is it like for you to be working on these shows for so long? Casting came out in 2021 for this season; it's been such a long time that you've had to keep a lid on everything. Does that drive you crazy?
