“There’s a big confidence gap in terms of gender and so I think what you learn so much in sport is how to take up space, how to be powerful, how to have a voice, how to communicate and work with others,” Clarendon tellsChiney Ogwumike, a Los Angeles Sparks player and ESPN analyst who also serves on the WNBPA executive committee, wants girls to, as the experience gives them valuable life skills.
