This BMW M3 Touring was given the CSL treatment.
While not as well known on this side of the Atlantic, Lightweight Performance is known in Europe for their track-capable BMW builds. This particular project started life as a modern M3 Touring model, which then underwent a series of visual and hardware adjustments. These start with the new suspension system from Eibach, which lowers the front of the car nearly an inch. The rear ride height was deemed appropriate from the factory, and was therefore left alone.
The system brings a bit more volume to the M3 without bringing things to an obnoxious level. The system also meets the stringent sound and particulate regs in Europe. Total output is said to be up by around 15 hp. From the factory, the M3 is rated at 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The M4 CSL ups the output to 549 hp.In order to give this M3 a proper CSL look, the team went heavy on the carbon fiber accents.
