Orchard Park, N.Y. (WHAM) Joe Brady is heading into his first full season as the Bills' offensive coordinator.
Now that he gets a full offseason to work in the offense that he wants for this team, the 2024 season is really Brady's chance to prove himself to this organization."This is Josh Allen 's offense, right?" Brady said. "There will be some elements of things I believe in, but it's more like 'Tell me who we have on our football team and what they can do well, and we're going to do that.
In terms of this offense, we know there's a lot of new faces — especially at the wide receiver position. That's something that's been a part of the offseason work in Buffalo."It's a lot of teaching, but also a lot of learning," Allen said. "Obviously, with Joe being at the helm, we're just gonna have to see and understand what he likes and the concepts we're trying to put in and run here.
"With Joe Brady, just his energy and how likeable he is as a guy and coach, you want to work hard for him," said wide receiver Khalil Shakir, who's going into his third season with the Bills. Brady also talked about the opportunity he has here in Buffalo. He previously served as offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, but ended up getting fired."I wasn't satisfied with the way it ended last time," Brady said. "I have a passion for calling plays — strictly from a play standpoint — but I also have a passion for teaching and coaching, and being around the guys.
