Already winners this season, William Byron and Kyle Larson are the favorites to find Victory Lane at the one-mile track
The Bulldogs head football, basketball coach and athletics director resigned from his duties at the Hartford school on Tuesday.
Thompson, a Rehobeth High graduate, guided the Bulldogs’ boys basketball team for six years, amassing a 123-55 record with five straight area titles. After serving as assistant football coach for four seasons, he took over the head football job in 2022 and directed that team for two seasons. A year after losing a strong, athletic senior class, including Alabama signee Emmanuel Henderson, the Bulldogs went 3-7 and 0-10 in his two seasons.
