Power outages are expected Thursday in Northeast Ohio because of ice and heavy snow from the winter storm.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Power outages from the winter storm already were being reported early Thursday morning, with more than 2,500 in Cuyahoga County. Nearly all of the outages are in Cleveland, according to the FirstEnergy website. There were a small number of scattered outages in Beachwood, Brecksville, Lyndhurst and South Euclid. The website estimates that power should be restored by 5:30 a.m.
