Police identified the three Americans who died after falling ill at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas as Michael Phillips, 68, and Robbie Phillips, 65, of Tennessee, and Florida resident Vincent Chiarella, 64.
Three U.S. citizens have been found dead and one has been hospitalized after falling ill at a resort in the Bahamas since Friday, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
The U.S. Department of State confirmed the deaths of three U.S. citizens. A spokesman said the State Department is monitoring local authorities’ investigation into the matter. Bahamian police had said earlier that they found one man on the ground in a bedroom Friday morning. In a second villa, a man was found slumped against a bathroom wall and a woman was found unresponsive in a bed, according to police.
