Salt Lake City Police officers said this investigation began at 12:55 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 , when several on-duty officers were in the area of 320 South State Street investigating reports of a fight.It was determined that the shooting took place at State Street and Exchange Place. Authorities are still investigating whether the two incidents were related.
Taylorsville police took a 32-year-old man into custody on Aug. 10. He was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on several charges unrelated to the shooting. Police noted he is suspected of having been involved in the shooting, and criminal charges against him are pending. On Aug. 23, members of the SLC Gang Unit took 30-year-old David Bradley into custody in Ogden with assistance from the Orem Police Department’s SWAT Team and Gang Unit.
