Parts of North Texas could see severe weather overnight Friday after storms moved through the area in the afternoon. The storms prompted the National Weather Service in Fort Worth to issue thunderstorm warnings in areas that included parts of Collin, Rockwall, Kaufman and Hunt counties, which have since expired. Golf ball-size hail was reported near McKinney.Most of the Dallas-Fort Worth region was placed under a severe thunderstorm watch — which means the conditions are favorable for severe weather to form — which ended shortly before 7 p.m.
