Two months have passed since allegations of hazing involving members of the University of San Diego football team rocked the program and sparked a campus investigation. Yet, somehow, the public is no closer to understanding what happened, who was involved or whether those entrusted with the care of those students acted appropriately. The apparent slog for answers continues, according to a university spokesperson contacted this week, and USD does not “have more information to share.

What answers have they received? Is the place they sank hearts and dollars into facing a mountain or relative mole hill? Is the university acting on unassailable principles or shrouding key details from the light of day? Is this, whatever this is, an isolated incident under a new coaching staff or something systemic stretching across years?
