The site had, for decades, been home to the headquarters as well as manufacturing for Panduit, which was founded in 1955 in the village.

A rendering of attached town home units planned in the Oak Ridge subdivision in Tinley Park, plans for which were approved Tuesday by the Tinley Park Village Board.

The company’s electrical and network infrastructure products are used by customers to manage and automate communications, computing, power and security systems in a building or other physical location, according to the company. The Texas-based homebuilder had initially planned to take on the entire subdivision in a single phase, but for now is breaking into two sections, partly due to difficulties getting materials as supply chain issues have extended the length of time involved in construction.
