Uncharted star, Tom Holland reveals that he was hit by a car 17 times during filming, calling the stunt"one of the highlights." Fresh off the release of 2021’s box-office sensation, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland is currently promoting his latest highly-anticipated feature, Uncharted.
Having first appeared as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man back in 2016, Holland is no stranger to roles of a more physical nature, with the 25-year-old even recently revealing that his time as the web-slinging hero actually prepared him for the intense stunt work that he took on for Uncharted.
The day I got hit by the car was pretty impressive. That was a lot of fun. It was very painful, but very rewarding. It’s a pretty cool thing when someone says, “How was your day today?” And I’m like, “Hey, I got hit by a car 17 times.” And people are like, “Wait, what?” So for me, that was a very proud moment, and I think it’s one of the best stunts in the movie. It’s really, really cool and that would have to be one of the highlights.
Holland also recently revealed that Uncharted's Cargo-plane scene that has been teased across the film's trailers was the hardest action scene he has ever had to shoot, so it's fair to say the film's production has been rather taxing on the young star. Throughout Uncharted's promotional run, Holland has been incredibly open about his experience in playing this beloved character.
From what can be seen in the film's trailers, it seems as though this car stunt could tie directly into the cargo-plane scene, meaning audiences could be in for a real treat with regards to how this scene will play out.
