Tony Gonsolin gave up five home runs, including two to Jorge Soler, as the Dodgers' 11-game winning streak ended in a blowout 11-3 loss to the Miami Marlins.
The Dodgers and Angels will play doubleheaders Saturday in order to avoid possible Sunday rainouts brought by Hurricane Hilary.Gonsolin, an All-Star in 2022, had not given up more than five earned runs or two home runs in any of his 70 career starts, but he became the first Dodgers pitcher to give up five homers in a game since Hall of Famer Don Sutton gave up five solo shots in a 5-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 7, 1993.
