Early-stage fintech funding plunged in 2019 as investors poured big money into growth-stage startups to the tune of $17.2 billion

Removing that round would make 2019 a record funding year, CB Insights said.The focus on larger, later-stage rounds is a nod to the maturation of a market that wasn't even.
