In a unanimous vote, the Travis County Commissioners Court passed a proposed tax rate election for the 2025 Tax Year. “There’s a need for sustainable funding," said Tamitha Blackmon, a family childcare provider. "Sustainable funding that supports family childcare in providing high-quality childcare that is affordable while being paid equitable wages.”
According to Travis County Judge Andy Brown, he hears frequently from families who agree they need additional help.
