The third was only about a week ago — UTSA’s 37-35 loss to Houston in triple overtime at the Alamodome. I try my best to not let the moment ever decide my feelings or my emotion, but I was guilty of letting that game get to me a little more. Just because I knew how big of a moment I thought it was, and I wanted to show everybody we could play big boy football. I know my first year, it was cool that we played UAB tough and we played BYU tough, and everybody is kind of like, ‘That’s really cool, but that’s the COVID season.
Q: Your general response to setbacks seems to be seeking out family. Do you ever look for time alone instead?I just never have any time to be around them. That's the only time I have, is after a game. Believe it or not, the Radio Show has turned into a time where at least I have an hour, sitting around with a few boosters. It’s more of a normal life.
