Tropical Storm Danielle formed Thursday in the Atlantic and is expected to become a hurricane in the next few days, according to the National Hurricane Center. It is currently not a threat to any land, the Associated Press reported.

This year is the first since 1942 that the Atlantic has gone from July 3 through the end of August with no named storm.One of which is hundreds of miles east of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. Thesaid this disturbance could lead to the formation of a tropical depression if there is any additional development.

There is also a disturbance off the west coast of Africa, near the Cabo Verde Islands. There is some chance this disturbance could become a short-lived tropical depression.
