President Donald Trump is expected to name Richard Grenell, the current U.S. ambassador to Germany, as acting director of national intelligence, reports said Wednesday night. The New York Times described him as a vocal Trump loyalist who will lead a group of national security agencies often viewed skeptically by the White House. He would take over from Joseph Maguire, who has served as acting director since Dan Coats resigned last summer. CNN also reported the expected move.
