When former President Donald Trump said the prosecutors investigating him were 'racist,' he skipped over the obvious detail that they were Black — and echoed racist messages that have proliferated in recent years.

But Black men and women now lead some of the country’s largest prosecutorial offices, including those in New York, Chicago, Dallas and Detroit.
