What began as an shooting investigation Monday night has turned into a homicide probe after a Mobile gunshot victim died, police said Tuesday.

What began as an shooting investigation Tuesday night has turned into a homicide probe after a Mobile gunshot victim died, police said Wednesday. Mobile officers responded to the 2900 block of Steadham Drive around 6:47 p.m. Tuesday to investigate an assault complaint, said Cpl. Katrina Frazier. That’s where officers found the male victim -- later identified as 46-year-old Mfundisi Mingo -- suffering from a gunshot wound.The shooting has been labeled an active homicide investigation.
