less than an hour agoSmoke and flames rise as intervention by air and land continues to control a wildfire that broke out overnight in a forest in the Marmaris district of Mugla province in southern Turkey, on June 22, 2022. Air intervention continues with 20 helicopters and 14 planes.

A fire, which began in the Bordubet area on Tuesday, forced dozens of evacuations Wednesday and Thursday in southwestern Turkey as more than 2,500 firefighters battled the blaze. Firefighters worked with the help of 45 helicopters and 12 airplanes dropping water and flame retardant.
