From then on, Warren was on a roll; she took on Pete Buttigieg about his “Medicare for all who want it” slogan, introduced the topic of environmental racism, and all but called Bloomberg’s half-hearted apology for his stop-and-frisk policy insufficient.
“Give me a chance, I’ll go to the White House, and I’ll fight for your family,” Warren said simply during her closing statement, and that signature frankness—mixed with a fierce commitment to calling out injustice—handed her a clear advantage on Wednesday night.
